It only works on what you give it.
Translate sees the text or file you choose and nothing else. It cannot send, buy, or change anything outside the app.

Do I have to add it?
Yes. Translate is not part of every account. You add it from the App Store when you want it.
Can I trust a translation for something important?
Read it first, and ask a person who speaks the language when it matters. A translation can miss meaning.
Can I use it today?
Not yet. The app is built and in testing, and it has not been released.
