Notes in tidy rooms.

Keep notes like a binder with tabs. Search, color, and tag them, keep writing with no internet, and your pages stay in your own Google Drive.

What you see

Rooms inside rooms

A notebook holds sections, and sections hold pages. Group sections together and drag things into the order you like.

Find it fast

Search looks through your pages as you type. Color your sections, add tags, and mark favorites so the important ones stay close.

Pages in your own Drive

Each page is a file in your own Google Drive. That is where your notes live, not on our side.

Works with no internet

Keep writing when you are not connected. Your changes are saved to Drive when you are back online.

You stay in control

It will not overwrite your work.

If a page changed somewhere else while you were editing, Notebook stops and asks. You choose between getting the latest copy or keeping your own.

Step by step

  1. Make a notebook

Give it a name. Add a section for each topic, like Recipes, School, or Taxes.

  2. Write pages

Add a page to a section and start typing. You can also bring in notes from Markdown or web page files.

  3. Sort and tag

Color a section, tag a page, or star your favorites. Drag pages into a new order.

  4. Search when you need it

Type a few words and the matching pages come up.
