Built, in testing, not yet released

Describe an app, see it work.

Say what you want, like a tip calculator, and watch a small app appear that runs in a web page. Change it, undo, go back to older versions, and save it.

What you see

A live preview

You see your app working next to its code while you change it. The preview is walled off, so it cannot reach the internet or the rest of your workspace.

Versions and undo

Each change can be saved as a version. Step back with undo, or return to an older version if a change went the wrong way.

A check for secrets

Before anything is saved, Code Builder looks for passwords and private keys and hides what it finds.

Save it to your computer

Download your app as a zip file made on your device. Everything is plain web files you can open anywhere.

You stay in control

It makes web pages and nothing more.

Code Builder only builds plain web files. It does not make programs that run on their own, and it does not put your app on the internet for you.

Step by step

  1. Add it

Code Builder is a store app for desktop and web. You add it from the App Store.

  2. Describe your idea

Say what you want, like a tip calculator or a simple to-do list.

  3. Try it and ask for changes

Use the preview, then ask for changes or change the code yourself.

  4. Download when you are happy

Save a zip of your app to your computer.

Questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You say what you want in plain words. If you do know code, you can change it too.

Can I put my app on the internet from here?

Not from Code Builder. You can download your files and put them where you like.

Can I use it today?

Not yet. The app is built and in testing, and it has not been released.
